In response to a mandate by the Biden-Harris administration, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) introduced ASHRAE Standard 241 on July 3, 2023 focused on Management of Infectious Aerosols. This Standard represents the most significant update to ventilation standards since the formal standard (62.1) was published in 1973. Awareness and understanding of this new Standard is critical for every facility manager because achieving the new Standard will impact building operating costs and governance risks.

Carenza is a member of The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air- Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and is civically active in the Dallas community, serving on the boards of the North Texas Commission and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
